My WONDERCON adventure

The Lord opened a door for me to go to Wondercon! We were on the waiting list for a small press table and one opened up. We snagged it, and it was probably one of the best small press tables at the con.
It was facing out toward a huge lounge in front of the concession stand, and everyone could see me. The exposure was fantastic!
I was nervous, I've never done anything like this and it was a lot of work. But the convention staff were all very nice and helpful. The other people with small press tables were all cool and many of them came by to say hi.
Right before the convention, a post popped up in my X feed for a little short film called FAITHFUL by a Scottish production team. I liked their post and gave them a follow. They surprised me by stopping by and saying hi, and buying a few books! Which was incredibly cool of them. They gave me a chance to see their film, and it was wonderful. I'll be posting my review soon!
Overall, I sold a few books, I perfected my elevator pitch, put a lot of eyes on PLAIN PRINCESS JANE, was complimented on the premise and my merch by people who said even though they weren't my demographic they thought my stuff was great, and I met a lot of nice people.
What I learned, is that I need to get my book in front of more families. So I'll be setting up a table at farmers markets and bookstores and hopefully libraries in the near future! Updates will be posted here and on social media!
